PART 1� GENERAL
1.1 SECTION INCLUDES

1.4 SUBMITTALS
��� A.� Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
��� B.� Product Data:� Submit manufacturer's product specifications, standard details, installation instructions and general recommendations, as applicable to materials and finishes for each component and for complete roofing installation.
��� C.� Shop Drawings:� Submit complete shop drawings and erection details showing methods of erection, elevations and plans of roof panels, sections and details, anticipated loads, flashings and all other accessories, interfaces with all related work of other trades, and proposed identification of component parts and their finishes.
��� D.� Selection Samples:� Submit color chips for selection of finishes.
��� E.� Verification Samples:� Submit one sample of roof panel, including clips and battens if applicable.� Submit two color chip samples in color selected by Architect.
��� F.� Certifications:� Submit certification that roofing assembly meets specified loading requirements and has been pretested to provide specified resistance to wind uplift, and air and water infiltration.
1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
��� A.� Manufacturer:� Minimum of __ years' experience in manufacturing roof panels similar to those required for this project.
��� B.� Installer:� Minimum of __ years' experience in installing roof panels similar to those required for this project.
��� C.� Field Measurements:� Where possible, take field measurements of structural framing and substrate to receive the roofing, prior to fabrication of roof panels.
1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
��� A.� Delivery:� Deliver roof panels to the project site properly packaged to provide protection against transportation damage and adverse weather.� Inspect roof panels upon arrival at site.� Notify manufacturer of any damaged or stained material.
��� B.� Storage:� Store all material and accessories above ground on well skidded platforms.� Elevate one end of each skid to allow for moisture run-off.� Store under waterproof covering.� Provide proper ventilation to prevent condensation build-up between each roof panel.
��� C.� Handling:� Exercise extreme care in unloading, storing and erecting roof panels to prevent bending, warping, twisting, and surface damage.
1.7 WARRANTY
��� A.� Material Warranty:� Provide warranty issued by manufacturer to cover roof panel base metal against rupture, structural failure, or perforation due to exposure to normal atmospheric corrosion for a period of 20 years and 6 months.
��� B.� Weathertightness Warranty:� Provide warranty issued by installer to cover roofing against leaks arising out of or caused by ordinary wear and tear under normal weather and atmospheric conditions for a period of __ years.
��� C.� Finish Warranty:� Provide manufacturer's warranty to cover roof panel finish against cracking, checking, blistering, peeling, flaking, chipping, chalking, and fading under normal atmospheric conditions for a period of __ years.

2.1 MANUFACTURERS

2.2 MATERIALS
��� A.� Roof Panels, Flashings, and Accessories:� Structural quality aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel sheet (Galvalume), complying with ASTM A 792 and with coating weight, grade and thickness to suit manufacturer's standards.
��� B.� Finish:� Apply paint system by a pre-approved coil coater in accordance with Bethlehem's "Process Specification for Prepainted Galvalume Sheet."

2.3 FABRICATION
��� A.� Roll-form continuous roof panels, as detailed on approved shop drawings, in lengths up to manufacturer's maximum standard lengths.
��� B.� Fabricate trim, flashing and accessories, as detailed on approved shop drawings.
��� C.� Fabricate trim and flashing from same material as panel.
PART 3� EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
��� A.� Verify that substrates and adjacent work are ready to receive work of this section.� Do not proceed until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
3.2 INSTALLATION
��� A.� Install panels so they are weathertight, allowing for expansion and contraction.
��� B.� Install panels in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and approved shop drawings.
��� C.� Install panels plumb, level, and straight, with seams and ribs/battens parallel, conforming to the design as indicated.
3.3 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
��� A.� Dispose of excess materials and remove debris from site.
��� B.� Clean work in accordance with recommendations of roofing panel manufacturer.
��� C.� Touch up minor scratches and abrasions with paint provided or approved by panel manufacturer.
��� D.� Protect work against damage.� Replace any work that becomes damaged prior to final acceptance.
