1.4 SUBMITTALS

1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE

��� B.� Fabricator and Installer:� Company specializing in sheet metal roofing installations similar in scope and type to project requirements with not less than 5 years of documented experience.

������� 2.� Locate where directed by Architect.

1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
��� A.� Deliver, store, protect, and handle products in accordance with provisions of Section 01600.
��� B.� Stack prefinished material to prevent bending, twisting, or mechanical damage, and to allow ventilation.� Cover to protect from ultraviolet light, and slope material to ensure drainage.
1.7 WARRANTY
��� A.� Provide manufacturer's standard twenty year non-prorated warranty against fading, chalking, and loss of film integrity.� Warranty shall include cost of labor and replacement materials through 20th year and shall include the following provisions:
������� 1.� Color change will not exceed 5 NBS color units, when tested in accordance with ASTM D 2244.
������� 2.� Chalking will not be in excess of 8, when tested in accordance with ASTM D 4214.
PART 2� PRODUCTS

2.5 FABRICATION
��� A.� Perform all cutting and forming operations with hand or power tools to achieve sharp, clean edges, properly dressed and closely aligned.
��� B.� Perform all fabrication with factory-applied strippable film in place.
������� 1.� If soldering is required, carefully remove film and prefinished coating in areas to be soldered, leaving adjacent film and finish undamaged.
��� C.� Form panels and accessories true to shape, accurate in size, and free from distortion.� Form pieces in longest practicable lengths, to avoid seams.
2.6 FINISHES
��� A.� Provide ColorKlad 70% Kynar/Hylar based fluoropolymer coating system on exposed side of roofing panels and accessories, meeting the following requirements:
������� 1.� Thickness: 1 +/- 0.1 mil.
������� 2.� Hardness:� F minimum, per NCCA 11-12.
������� 3.� Adhesion:� 1/16 inch cross hatch; no removal per NCCA 11-5.
������� 4.� Formability:� 180 degree 2T bend with no cracking or removal, per ASTM D 522.
������� 5.� Reverse impact:� Mo removal when taped, impact force of 70 in lbs, per NCCA 11-6.
������� 6.� Color:� As selected by Architect from manufacturer's standards.
������� 7.� Color:� As scheduled on the drawings.

��� B.� Provide protective 0.3 mil wash coat film on reverse side of roofing panels and accessories.
PART 3� EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
��� A.� Inspect roof deck to verify that it is properly installed and ready to receive sheet metal roofing.� Do not begin roofing installation until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
3.2 INSTALLATION
��� A.� Conform to approved shop drawings and standard SMACNA details for conditions not covered by shop drawings.
��� B.� Install underlayment in 2 layers;� first layer laid parallel to slope and lapped not less than six inches;� second layer laid perpendicular to slope with 2 inch laps.
��� C.� Install roofing system using fasteners at spacing recommended by manufacturer.� Cleat and seam all joints.� Allow for thermal expansion of roofing panels in method of fastening.
��� D.� Immediately after each roofing panel is installed, remove factory-applied protective film.
��� E.� Secure integral flashings with concealed fastening methods;� seal metal joints watertight.� At soldered joints, carefully remove protective film and finish to base metal before soldering, taking care to avoid damage to adjacent finish.
3.3 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
��� A.� Touch up any areas of abrasion and exposed soldered areas with matching factory-supplied paint.
��� B.� Clean any soiled roofing panels with mild soap and water, followed by a clear rinse.� Do not use abrasives or cleaning techniques that would scratch the prefinished surface.

3.4 PROTECTION
��� A.� Do not permit traffic over unprotected roof surface.
