1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
��� A.� Installer Qualifications:
������� 1.� Installer shall be a firm experienced in the maple flooring field and approved by the manufacturer.
������� 2.� Installer shall have attended and received a passing grade from a certified manufacturer's installation school.
������� 3.� Installer shall submit to the flooring manufacturer the manufacturer's required documentation forms.� The documentation shall include concrete inspection, delivery and storage of materials, and daily installation reports.
1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
��� A.� Store products indoors and protect from moisture, construction traffic, and damage.
��� B.� Do not deliver or install materials until:
������� 1.� Masonry, painting, plastering, tile work, marble, and terrazzo work are completed.�
������� 2.� Overhead work including installation of mechanical work lighting, backstops, scoreboards, etc. is completed.
������� 3.� Building is enclosed and weathertight.�

1.7 WARRANTY
��� A.� The manufacturer's guarantee shall not cover damage caused in whole or in part by casual, ordinary wear and tear, abuse, use for which material is not designed, faulty construction of the building, settlement of the building walls, failure of the other contractors to adhere to specifications, separation of the concrete slab and excessive dryness or excessive moisture from humidity, spillage, migration through the slab or wall or any other source.
��� B.� Manufacturer shall warrant the flooring materials to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from the date of substantial completion.� The installer shall warrant the installation to be free from defects for the same period.
