1.3 ALLOWANCES

1.4 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
��� A.� Signage under this section is intended to act as an integrated modular system for identification, direction, control, and information and must be produced by a single manufacturer.
1.5 SUBMITTALS
��� A.� Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
��� B.� Product Data:� Submit manufacturer's product literature indicating units and designs selected.
��� C.� Shop Drawings:� Submit complete shop drawings indicating all materials, sizes, configurations and applicable substrate� mountings.
������� 1.� Include typography sample for copy.
������� 2.� Include signage schedule complete with location of each sign and required copy; include floor plans, if required for clarity.
������� 3.� Include artwork for special graphics.
��� D.� Verification Samples:� Provide two samples in small size sign; samples will not be returned for use in project.
������� 1.� Illustrate font style, size, and color required, in addition to background color and method of attachment.
1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE
��� A.� Manufacturer Qualifications:� Provide Work required under this section from a manufacturer regularly engaged in work of similar magnitude and scope for a minimum of five years.
1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
��� A.� Delivery of Products:� Do not deliver products to project until adjacent finishes are complete and actually ready for immediate installation.

��� C.� ADA Appliques:
������� 1.� Manufacture appliques using a photo polymer material with a minimum durometer (hardness) reading of 70 percent in a Shore D configuration.�
��� ��� 2.� Raise all lettering a minimum of 1/32 inch and accompany it with corresponding Grade II Braille.
������� 3.� Apply graphic color to the raised letters and number using a hot stamp process.
������� 4.� Apply a clear protective coating.
2.3 FABRICATION
��� A.� Shop Assembly:
������� 1.� Fabricate units to configurations indicated on approved shop drawings.
������� 2.� Apply border colors to second surface of face material using photographic screen printing process.
������� 3.� Apply color to insert material matching face color.
������� 4.� Laminate back to face material using manufacturer's standard procedure, leaving space for insert.
������� 5.� Provide required copy indicated on approved shop drawings.
��� B.� Seal each individual sign unit in polyethylene bag.
PART 3� EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
��� A.� Verify that substrates are completely finished and ready to receive signage before beginning installation.
3.2 INSTALLATION
��� A.� Install all sign holders in the locations indicated on the drawings and in accordance with approved shop drawings, square with other building elements and level.
��� B.� Install at mounting height of 60 inches from finished floor to center of sign unit, unless otherwise indicated on the drawings.
3.3 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
��� A.� Clean signs units in strict accordance with the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.� Replace any signs that cannot be cleaned satisfactorily.
