Beat the Computer. Tenyo Puzzle No. 600

The instructions included with this Tenyo plastic puzzle seem to say that there are 1,000,000,000 ways to fit the 35 Tetris-like pieces into the plastic case. This puzzle has been in my family since the early 1970s, and we have never found a solution other than the one included with the puzzle. Is there more than one way to fit the pieces into the container?
