Champion Tree Project

This marker is in Section 53 of Old Calvary. It was placed near the spot where cemetery workers and visitors gathered on September 11, 2001, to watch as the Twin Towers burned and collapsed. Directly across from this marker, in direct view of the World Trade Center, are the burial sites of firefighters Michael E. Brennan, Michael J. Elferis and John A. Crisci who died in the attacks on that awful day.
