St. John Cemetery in Middle Village is often erroneously referred to as "St. John's Cemetery." My Hagstrom maps, for instance, label this yard as St. John's. An unusual set of paths cross at St. John: Inside the mighty Cloisters are housed the remains of Charles Atlas, Robert Mapplethorpe, John Gotti, and numerous mafia members.
