Remembering the copy that goes with those bra adds (the one in the photo) that are all over Manhatten...remembering them being pretty offensive although I can't recall the exact words...some play on beauty being skin deep I think. Thinking abt Heather's comment & remembering a cool bra ad (print) I saw recently. (Don't recall the brand -- Maindenform perhaps?) It featured a 40-something woman reminiscing abt her salad days & how she wdn't trade the girl she was then for the woman she has become today/ or copy to that effect. But the model had crows feet/& I remember thinking that I cdn't recall the last time I'd seen a beauty-oriented ad featuring a woman old enuf to have wrinkles.

It was the 1st ad I'd seen in a long time that I really dug.

Gonna be in NY from April 29th- May 6th...I'm really hoping for some nice weather in NY because I'm really adjusted to these warm Florida temperatures.

May 14th is my 1 year anniversary as a Florida resident. I cant beleive how fast this year has gone. Being that my family and friends from NY have already been here to Florida to see me a couple times, it is now my turn to make the trip up there. Truth is, I had/have no desire to go back home but my daughter is very, very home sick so I promised her I would take her home to see her Nana and her Aunt Denise and Cousin Ryan and Uncle Mike. So, April 29th, we go. Now I'll be like the best Mom in her eyes.

It was a high of 91 degrees here today...I loved it. The Gulf temp. is 78 degrees so it was a nice beach day.

I aint posted in a long time but it's good to see that everyone is well. Fairly well anyway. Sorry for some of the sadness and loss though.

last week we went on a field trip to a rare and engangered species site, and the lead biologist was giving us the latin names of all the plants. there is one beautiful but common flower this time of year called Blue Dick, which is the only one everyone could remember. so, whenever she pointed to a plant and asked the name, twenty grownup professionals would scream "Blue Dick" in unison. not being able to stop, they continued to chant blue dick, blue dick, blue dick until we got to the toe biters, then of course we all paid attention.

what is wildflowers today wil be seed pods and sticks next week, and i need my definsible space. i thought the hounds would deter squirrels, but that was wrong. winter lasted so long i had to burn great portions of the wood the rodents were using for living quarters. now they are moving in closer to my nest, and the hounds just don't give a rats ass about it.

Drank a lot last night. This afternoon I settled down on the couch, very tired, and began watching a documentary called Anne Franke Remembered. During the descriptions of those cattle-cars the jews were loaded onto to take them to Auschwitz or wherever, I started to get drawn into it all. Like I was in hiding from the Nazis and was going to be hauled off at any time. My only hope was to leave a message here, for some reason. By this time it was sort of a waking dream and, for one reason or another I couldn't get the message sent. I tried desperately and danger kept closing in, getting closer...and then I snapped out of it and finished the documentary.

Now I just feel like I have to leave a message here just to be on the safe side.

the night before last i had a collection of bizarre dreams. the one that has stuck with me was a dream of the apocalypse. apparently when the big change comes there will be a set of people who are informed, and will take proper measures to save themselves. everyone else will be crushed.

in the dream, i was not one of the informed. i did notice that people started disappearing, though (presumably those who new the proper measures, and were getting the hell out.) i began suspecting somethign was going on, and the whole dream was my searching for answers. eventually icollected enough details from enough people to realize what was going on. I woke from the dream while racing through suburban streets as the finger of god stretched out over the hills. i wonder if i made it.

i think i will write up the dream and submit it to the pope. working title : "More Revelations."

people sometimes question my sanity, but atleast no one has tied me to a pole on an island.

You should actually feel quite honored that you've made it into my subconscious. I never remember dreams if I have them with some notable celebrity exceptions and my "having a baby" dream, and the recurrent nightmares about rescuing cats or kittens from burning buildings or angry dogs or other perils.
