loving my new job.

it's not just the work, which is fun and brings out the best in my otherwise dormant Type A side.

it's the break room. it's huge and loaded. it has this neat industrial coffee maker. except that they're serving up really good Hawaiian Isles brand Kona coffee. and you don't even have to pour any water in it; it's already hooked up automatically to drip through the right amount. if you can't wait for coffee to be brewed, there's Folgers (ewww). there's herbal and black tea. and there's hot cocoa, instant hot water, two refrigerators and two microwaves, and full-on restaurant style booths where you can sit and hang out, and a television. windows on both sides of the room.

oh, and i have a dumb joke for you all:

What do you get when you cross a Jehova's Witness with a Unitarian Universalist?

Someone who knocks on your door but they're not entirely sure why.

The microsoft exchange server is down. That means no email.

Usually, when something breaks, email flies around... the helpdesk gets piles of messages, and things are back up soon.

Just now, people are realizing that they don't even know where the helpdesk is actually located.

Can't... Email.... :)

recalling my weekend. Yes, a great weekend. The wife came home early Sat am. It was good I was hung-over. After 12 hour s on a plane, we were equally dispositioned. I bought her daisies, her fav. She made out of china and Hong Kong like a bandit. $900 Louie Vitton (spell?) handbags and such for under $100. Hot or knock offs it's all the same. She even ran into a group of Louie V execs who adored her wares, all the while sweating bullets at customs. She brought me back some Shochu (spell?). It tastes better than sake over ice and packs a bigger punch.

Sat. we laid around......late that night, we went to Hank's, the "oldest and friendliest bar" in LA. I must agree after my second visit. It's one of two places in LA you can go at midnight on a Sat. and have 9 empty seats at the bar. the 6 of us took up all 9 and the juke box as well. Got liquored with Angry Sam and his brother despite his 7am call Sunday. He has been dating this girl, sweet girl, and man can she drink. She and the wife kept pounding Jager all the while she was protesting her stamina was due to her Irish heritage. I didn't argue because she was wrong. I just liked hearing her get progressively drunk with each shot and dance. Bowie is absolutely danceable! The wife loves to dance. The one straggler in the bar who was absolutely messmerized because we came in like a howl, two beautiful drunk ladies and turned the quiet place upside down. He asked me if he could dance with my wife. I was in the middle of conversation with C and I naturally paid no regard to him and said "what the hell do I care...ask her" He took that as a yes....when he proceeded to try and interupt her and our girlfriend, she turned and yelled at him "what are you doing can't you see I am dancing with her! Stop trying to grind you ass with me, this is Rebel Rebel not Jennifer Lopez !!!!" I think I sported an erection at that point. To see that pathetic man crawl back under his bar stool only to try and get me to go smoke pot with him in the car was utterly amusing to me.

We played hooky yesterday. Went house shoppign with little luck. I think we may find aloft downtown. needing the space bad!

I am glad she is home.

Yeah....definitely.

We are happy lushes and it's about time for a sip.

I do enjoy the writing though mark.

A week after the fact.....I realize it's not really important. Seeing the Hollywood sign pic, mark must have been a block away from me. Why is that so neat to think of? Should any other sorabjites come here, I am happy to host you to a drink or a drive up to the observatory. I feel it's a "duty". This is my home for now.

going to the 42nd annual Miss Exotic World Burlesque show out in the desert. It's the olympics of historic burlesque. This is the only place you could see beautiful women in their 60's and 70s, famous dancers from the 40s and 50s do their classic strip teases'. Of course there are the younger girls....such as my friend, she is dancing again this year...Cherry Tarts she and her group are called. HOW FUN!!!!

It's seems kind of a surreal, being at this women's house/museum for burlesque out in the middle of freakin nowhere. Confirming my status as photographer for the event. Of course there are many other guys with cameras and such, but weed out the middle-aged hubby's getting cheese shots for wank material and boyfriends capturing their girlfriends on stage...you are left with afew serious journalists for industry rags and then me......hoping to take different more documentary perspective....should be fun.....
