Deciding...

Quick, everyone...

Should I take Japanese for 5 credits (not in my major, but might be fun)

or Linear Algebra for 4 credits (There is one seat left in the class, I have to take it for my major, but I'm already taking 10 credits for my major.)

I was going to sign up for Japanese because the Math class was full, but one seat opened up. How I can't decide... What do y'all suggest?

i took it from a uc berkeley entemology major. he provided us with interludes on spiders and the ilk.

but linear alegebra itself kicks ass. helps you write those graphic modeling algorithms.

hope y'all have a good weekend.

every week i fill in an hours sheet for payroll purposes, on which i indicate what i did that week, and how long it took me.

some days i don't do anything at all. this could be me waiting for a file or report from someone that's too busy to send it, or i just plain have nothing to do. Usually on the sheet i just extend whatever i was doing the previous day to fill that day too.
But hey, that's boring.

I want to have a whole archive of fancy tecnical terms for doing shit all on a computer, just as "propane transfer tecnician" means 'gas station pump boy'. And i think you're just the people to help me here.

what're some tecnical terms for going on the internet for 8 full hours?

summer. Trust me, it's
no fun moving back
and forth across this
lovely state of Ohio.
On a different note, I'm
finding it odd how my
life is becoming more
and more intertwined
with my girlfriends.
Meaning our moods
and things effect each
others and the current
state of our
relationship is
something that affects
my mood.. it's strange
to me that I am no
longer a true
*individual*, but rather
a member of a couple.
And I don't know if
that's a good thing or
not.

no, not the cosmetic surgeon. he had pedophile written all over him. not the sexy philosophy student. not the very jewish advertising exec weenie in maui, not the long-haired, episodic, rich east-coast divorcee, and not even george clooney's personal assistant from Santa Monica i met on the way back from maui.

the winner is a 32 year old ph.d. student in history from philly. he's a little overintellectual and a little too honkey, but nothing i can't work with. there's no job too big for the James Brown box set with a pinch of Galactic.

i admit, after weeks of pathetically dismal and torturous encounters, i had a very bad attitude going into it. a mixture of apathy and defeat. i didn't know too much about him; i thought he was going to be a totally conservative, straight-edge, dull and pretensious academic, but while he is your typical intellectual in many ways, mercifully he's not conservative, he parties, he's athletic, and he has a good sense of humor when he relaxes and loosens up and forgets his occupation. he's genuinely nice. i mean, really nice. and he's ripe. ready to do the involved thing, unlike the philosophy student.

and i thought i wasn't all that attracted to him. he's not unattractive, just a little too whitebread, a little plain, a bit unfunky for my taste. i didn't feel any chemistry at first, but i'm learning a lot of that has to do with horomones. but when he asked if he could kiss me and i said yes and then he did, i was totally surprised. he was good. sexy even. underneath all that dork, the boy knew how to handle me. i mean, shit, you just never know. i'd never have guessed that from looking at him. it's been ages since i've been with a sexually competent lover, i guess i've just come to expect the worst.

so yeah, i don't know. if i get more than two
dates out of this guy, it could go somewhere.
maybe. this situation, by far, has the most potential.
