good for you cat!

It's the small things that keep us going.

I ended up going out to the ranch for some terrific jamaican jerk boneless turkey with fried rice stuffing and some wine, and two cans of Old Milwaukee Light. I then went to the Doghouse, my favorite bar. It was chock full of assholes, you know the type, the ones who only come out to the bar on special occasions and think that it gives thema licence to be fucking obnoxious. That's where I spent the turnover of digits. I hardly knew anyone. The whole reason I went was to actually follow some people I knew out to a party, where there would be some folks i knew. However, they had to leave early and go somewhere else first, but I could follow these other guys I knew sort of from high school days. However, when it came time to go, they too had to go somewhere else first, so they gave me directions. Which got me lost on backroads.

We had six inches of snow and the roads were bad. I am lucky I even made it back to this house. Yes I am sober.

I did get a little peck on the lips form a girl I only vaguely knew, and that's because I had turned accidently when she was intending to give me one on the cheek.
I suppose you must take'em when you can get 'em.

Hope everyone else had a good time.

she phoned me at 10am this morning, and having had only 4 hours of sleep at that point (hit the bed at 6am) i was no ball of sunshine. Not that i usually am.
"so..i just called to see if you were coming today" she said. Coming? what? fuck? sleep? wedding?
wedding. her brothers wedding. Or wedding reception rather, as they got married on a boat. I do like her brother, and being the best friend, i'm sort of like his siter too. But he married one of her (the callers) closest friends, a ditzy country bumpkin girl who got pregnant at 17 to ensure that she would never have to get a job or continue school, so she latched on to the callers older brother, 10 years her seniour and desperate for a mother for his child. Both idiots. A match made in heaven.
I thought it was set that i would not be attending, chosing to not take the 3 hour drive in the snow to watch someone else's family get drunk and lie about how happy they are that this obviously doomed union is taking place. It seemed obvious to me anyway. Clearly not though, judging by her semi-snarky "okaybye" when she hung up after my answer of a half coughing, half grumbling: "uh-uhhhhh....no"
i thought it was obvious. Wonder how long till she calls me again. Roll over, go back to sleep.
