The UBS Building used to be called the Paine Webber Building. One of my earliest memories of New York was seeing that building with some of its lights burned out. The building appeared to be called the "Pain Web" and I grimly thought to myself "Man, I don't ever wanna get a job in that place." The UBS building also happens to have been the location of the Last Phone Booths of Rockefeller Center, a series of fully-functioning phone booths that I used to use a lot and which I genuinely miss. There used to be booths throughout Rockefeller Center but I am pretty certain the booths in the basement of the UBS building were the last of them.
