I didn't put my hand down his pants either, but I kind of regret that.

actually, that's not really the truth.

my head hurts and my mouth tastes like some foul rodent died in it 3 weeks ago. does that make sense? i'm just trying to share the sentiment.

it's all my bartender's fault. everything. she lets me drink for free. her heart is filled with hate and she despises everything human, but she lets me drink for free. i'll take that as a compliment.

hey, thanks heather.

well... i just got home from one of the best, most physically challenging, and awe inspiring hikes i've ever been on. a small group of us went to the top of Mt. Ka'ala, the highest point on Oahu. at one point you have to climb up ropes to get up to the ridge along the top. at the summit, which i believe is about at 4,000 feet, there is a natural flatland, a full-on bog, that contains the most dense population of endemic plant and insect species on this island. we even saw Abutilon (Ko`oloa`ula) which is a Class 1 endangered plant. i got a great photo of it glowing in natural sunlight. we also saw native butterflies about half way up. it was so bitchin.

i am, now, totally exhausted, sore from kickboxing yesterday, and ready to play guitar and watch the sunset from my lanai and then go to bed early.

Last week we were attending a "Wealth 2000" event put on by the regional Sierra business/environmental association (yes, I know,
oxymoron) and two other planners and I got to talking about guns and suicide. Never mind how it came up (Llama, I got to meet
Shelly Davis-King! and this week I did a CRM on-site and found a burial). I was saying that people do not commit suicide because
they have guns, nor is it the other way round. It's like in Anne Sexton's poem about Sylvia Plath, we are intrigued by the equipment. I
likened it to the fleeting moments when I wish I could be blonde again, but of course I don't have the stuff on hand. If I did, I might
use it on myself. We talked around this issue all week, and one day during lunch I went out and bought all the necessary
ingredients for blondism. Put them in my house. Available, but not showing. Finding out how shallow and opportunistic I can be.
In ways unrelated to death by suicide.

Looking at this time last year, and even a few months ago, and seeing how different it has become. Being despondent and
missing what was.

Sarah, grab all the Michael you can get hold of while it is available. Of all the regrets, not one was a Michael, nor will it be.

but if i know anything about hawaii, i know they already knew the person they wanted to hire. the job wasn't even properly advertised.

oh well. i still have a good shot at the windward oahu director position, which would also kick major booty.

went to a funeral today, at which this verse from Proverbs was read, and wondered how many measure up...

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
