Gallon of vodka, whisky.......et al

last night angry sam, nico and I were in one of our moods to try something different. So we went to a mexican bar in glendale, called tony's (?)......the bartenders didnt speak a lick of english and we befriended one cat named gabriel who said ".....anyone fuck wit chu, you talk to me, you guys just have a drink and have fun....." he was an ex gang member with many a story......

they thought nico was one hell of a salsa dancer...."she's pretty good for a white girl.." said the bartender, she (the bartender) danced with me too, but i upheld to stereotypical whiteboy can't dance syndrome.....i told em if they had some james brown i could do a jig or two but they didn't know what the hell i was talking about....they didn't care.....modelos and lime baabay!!!!!!

After I took them out at 9:45, I began feeling very uncomfortable. By 10:30 I was convinced my appendix had burst, and had my mother drive me to the emergency room. Within 45 minutes all pain was gone. The diagnosis?

Kidney stones, more than likely. So I have to schedule a doc appointment next week. I have never EVER been in so much pain in all my life, and never want to expereince it again. Aside from that it was a very nice Christmas, especially since I got some new jammies! :-)

my new project down at the plant is the Jesus Is Risen Church, operated by a raving lunatic who comes into the conference room, shows me the plans that Jesus drew, Jesus is funding, Jesus is supervising the worker bees, and yells Praise the Lord every other sentence. Jesus needs a Conditional Use Permit,a Zone Change and a General Plan Amendment. this is going to be fun. he shrieks out during our meetings that "this church is for the sinners, the whores, the drug addicts!" and he is surprised that the neighborhood association kicked him out of the adjoining county (where i live).

counting the minutes, we split for Big Bear tom.work is tedious and otherwise uninteresting. not much to do in between the holidays.

(mental note, buy large bag of dried black eyed peas for new years day)

recalling alovely evening and morning spent with my wife. Sometimes, even when you are fucked up or half asleep, the best sex can be had, you tend to let go easier, conventional hang ups such as ...

-is my breath horrid?
-my pits stink?

and so on are lost..........sometimes, the notion that pot is an aphrodisiac fulfills it self with me.

I am able to transcend my body to hers, to feel and absorb her, as if we are one creature.....

and when you are half asleep, it's so dream-like, so surreal, you never open your eyes, you just feel, you have no desire to open you eyes, the feeling and the dance in your head is just as appealing, if not more gratifying in your head than in reality......

she even got up to make me biscuts with apple jelly before i left for work.

god damn!

she has the option to go back to sleep, but still.....

i think perhaps the emotional outpour from last night may have had something to do with the fact that the prgnancy test came up negative.

We were fully prepared to (os so we think anyway) to accept the possibility of having a child.

She is not willing to put her body through an abortion unless it's life threatening to her or abnormal, she just doesn't want to put her body under the stress of that. I understand.

There are few birth controls for us and frankly it's only a matter of time before something slips by.

I think we are ready and perhaps it will be one of those tacit agreements.

It will never be "honey lets go make a baby!!!!!"

It will be, "um honey, it happened.." and neither of us will be surprised.

and then we will then revamp our lives to accept the responsibility

It was an empotional night when she got back from japan, and well we were emotional and we slipped up. we have been paranoid ever since.....jet lag and stress can do amazing things to a womans body. and I suppose thats cause for the delay with "aunt flo"

anyway, off to big bear to kill some brain cells, brake a leg snow boarding, karaoke-ing on the lake, chopping firewood, hiking, and a stab at nature photograophy. I assure it will not be the typical crap of the ansel adams breed.

I intend to exemplify man in nature, nature in man, as in "why is that woman crouched behind that tree, and whats he doing with his arms out like a bird and oh yeah look at the pretty mountains in the background...... "

i am excited. the drive is short, but according to the map very mountaineous, we are riding in my buddy's big assed 92 bronco, just like OJ's. I admit to being a little scared in that top heavy bitch around some of those mountain bends, but hey thats part of the fun right.......?\

though i am not out IN the woods yet, have a great and SAFE new years everyone!

I have the weekend water sample duty too. That normally involves a quick trip into work for about an hour each day. Only this weekend, because it happens to be a large federal hydropower facility in a remote area, they have instituted some rather severe security measures. I feel more like Maxwell Smart trying to get through the elaborate system of barricades, alarms, locks and other various temporary obstacles. I'll get paid an extra hour's overtime just for getting through the maze each day.
